Calder Cup playoffs

mode

The eight best teams each qualified for the playoffs in the Eastern Conference and Western Conference . Since the Mid Atlantic Division and the Eastern Division, each with six participants, were larger, more teams qualified for the playoffs in these five teams each than in the Canadian Division and South Division, with only four teams, in which there were three each.

In the first three playoff rounds, the winners of the Eastern and Western divisions were played, which then met in the final of the Calder Cup. While the first playoff round was played in best-of-five mode, all other play-offs and the final were played in best-of-seven mode.
