The 1959/60 season was the 24th regular season of the American Hockey League (AHL). During the regular season, the seven teams in the league played 72 games each. The four best teams in the AHL then played in a play-off round for the Calder Cup .

- The As de Québec from the disbanded Quebec Hockey League were added to the league as an expansion team
