The 1959/60 season was the 15th regular season of the International Hockey League . During the regular season, the eight teams played between 67 and 68 games. In the play-offs, the St. Paul Saints prevailed and won the first Turner Cup in their club's history.
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- the Troy Bruins stopped the game.
- the Milwaukee Falcons were added to the league as an expansion team.
- the Denver Mavericks were included as an expansion team in the league and moved to Minneapolis , Minnesota , during the season and played under the name Minneapolis Millers.
- the Omaha Knights were added to the league as an expansion team.
- the St. Paul Saints were added to the league as an expansion team.
- the Toledo Mercurys changed their name to Toledo-St. Louis Mercurys.
