The 1951/52 season was the seventh regular season of the International Hockey League . During the regular season, the five teams played 48 games each. In the play-offs, the Toledo Mercurys prevailed, who were able to defend their previous year's success and won the third Turner Cup in their club's history.
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Detroit Auto Club stopped playing.
- The Sarnia Sailors switched to the Ontario Hockey Association .
- The Troy Bruins were added to the league as an expansion team.
