The 1981/82 season was the 37th regular season of the International Hockey League . During the regular season, the seven teams played 82 games each. In the play-offs, the Toledo Goaldiggers prevailed and won the third Turner Cup in their club's history.

Turner Cup Playoffs

The six play-off qualifiers played off three participants for the semifinals in the first round. The three teams then determined the two finalists in a group stage with home and away games.
