The 1963/64 season was the 19th regular season of the International Hockey League . During the regular season, the seven teams played 70 games each. In the play-offs, the Toledo Blades prevailed and won the first Turner Cup in their club's history.
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Minneapolis Millers stopped gaming.
- The Omaha Knights moved to the Central Professional Hockey League and their IHL license was given to the Toledo Blades .
- The St. Paul Saints stopped playing.
- The Chatham Maroons from the Ontario Hockey Association returned to the league after eleven years.
- The Des Moines Oak Leafs from the United States Hockey League were added to the league as an expansion team.
- The Windsor Bulldogs from the Ontario Hockey Association were added to the league as an expansion team.
