The Muskegon Zephyrs were an American ice hockey franchise of the International Hockey League based in Muskegon , Michigan . Their home venue was the LC Walker Arena .

history

The Muskegon Zephyrs were founded in 1960 as a franchise of the International Hockey League . In their second season in 1961/62, the Zephyrs won the Turner Cup , the championship of the IHL, after a 4-0 final victory after games against the St. Paul Saints . The club could not repeat this success. In the summer of 1965, the Muskegon Zephyrs were renamed the Muskegon Mohawks .
