history
The Phoenix Roadrunners continued the game operations of the Denver Rangers in the International Hockey League in 1989 . In their first season in 1989/90, the Roadrunners reached fifth place in the West Division in the IHL with 65 points and thus missed the play-offs. These could be achieved in the following season. The club was eventually eliminated in the second round. After the Roadrunners could not qualify for the finals in the following three years, this did not succeed until 1994/95. In 1997 the association was dissolved.
