The Toledo Hornets were an American ice hockey franchise of the International Hockey League based in Toledo , Ohio . The home of the Hornets was the Toledo Sports Arena .
history
The previous club, the Toledo Blades, were renamed the Toledo Hornets in 1970. The Hornets could not build on the success of the Blades, which won the Turner Cup in 1964 and 1967 . After the 1973/74 season, the team was relocated to Lansing again and was henceforth called Lansing Lancers . At the same time, Toledo received a new franchise under the name Toledo Goaldiggers .
