The Minnesota Moose were an American ice hockey franchise of the International Hockey League based in Saint Paul , Minnesota . Your venue was most of the time the Saint Paul Civic Center . They also played individual home games at the Target Center in Minneapolis .

history

The Minnesota Moose was founded in 1994 as a franchise of the International Hockey League . In their first season in 1994/95, the Moose reached fourth place in the Central Division of the IHL. This enabled them to successfully qualify for the play-offs. There the team dropped out in the first round. The following year the Moose won 30 games for 67 points. This placed them in fifth and last place in the Midwest Division. The Moose could not qualify for the finals. In the summer of 1996, the team relocated to Winnipeg in the Canadian province of Manitoba .
