The 1994/95 season was the 50th regular season of the International Hockey League . During the regular season, the 17 regular IHL teams played 81 games each, while the Russian visiting team Soviet Wings played against every other team once. In the play-offs, the Denver Grizzlies prevailed and won the first Turner Cup in their club history.
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Soviet Wings , a delegation from the Russian ice hockey club Krylja Sowetow Moscow, took part in the IHL once as a visiting team and played a total of 17 games this season.
- The Chicago Wolves were added to the league as an expansion team.
- The Denver Grizzlies were added to the league as an expansion team.
- The Houston Eros were added to the league as an expansion team.
- The Minnesota Moose were added to the league as an expansion team.
- The Salt Lake Golden Eagles were relocated to Detroit , Michigan and changed their name to Detroit Vipers .
