The 1994/95 NHL season was the 78th season in the National Hockey League . 26 teams played 48 games each. The Stanley Cup won the New Jersey Devils after a 4-0 win in the final series against the Detroit Red Wings . Due to the 103-day lockout , which only ended on January 11, 1995, the regular season did not begin until the end of January and had been shortened from 84 to 48 games.
It was to be the Québec Nordiques' final season . In the summer of 1995, it was announced that the team would be relocating to Denver , Colorado and renaming the Colorado Avalanche .

Best scorer
The best scorers were Jaromír Jágr and Eric Lindros with 70 points each. The top scorer, Peter Bondra , scored 34 times, but this did not even reach the top 25 scorers, as he only contributed nine assists. Ron Francis was the best in the templates with 48 and he also led the plus / minus rating with +30 . Ray Bourque tried 210 shots the most. Outnumbered Cam Neely was the best with 16 goals, while outnumbered Peter Bondra was successful with six goals. With an average of 24.5, almost every fifth shot by Ian Laperrière landed in the goal. The bad guy of the season was Enrico Ciccone with 225 penalty minutes. The most successful defender was Paul Coffey with 14 goals, 44 assists and 58 points.

Best rookie scorer
The best scorer among the rookies was Peter Forsberg with 50 points. He laid the foundation for this with 35 templates. Paul Kariya was the most successful striker with 18 goals. The plus / minus member and not of the rookies led Forsberg with +17. The bad guy among the rookies was Denis Chassé with 133 penalty minutes.
