Enrico Ciccone (born April 10, 1970 in Montréal , Québec ) is a former Italian - Canadian ice hockey player who worked for the Minnesota North Stars , Washington Capitals , Tampa Bay Lightning , Chicago Blackhawks , Carolina Hurricanes, among others , Vancouver Canucks and Montréal Canadiens in the National Hockey League , as well as Mosquitos Essen in the German Ice Hockey League .
Career
Enrico Ciccone began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian junior league QMJHL , in which he was active from 1987 to 1990 for the Shawinigan Cataractes and Trois-Rivières Draveurs . He was then selected in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft in the fifth round as a total of 92 players by the Minnesota North Stars , for whom he made his debut in the National Hockey League in the 1991/92 season , after he had worked for their farm team the previous year Kalamazoo Wings was accrued in the International Hockey League . From 1993 to 1999, the defender never stayed with an NHL franchise for a long period of time , but played successively for the Washington Capitals , Tampa Bay Lightning , Chicago Blackhawks , Carolina Hurricanes , Vancouver Canucks , and again Tampa Bay and Washington.
For the 1999/2000 season, Ciccone was obliged by the Mosquitos Essen from the German Ice Hockey League , for which he only played 14 games, in which he gave four templates. For the 2000/01 season, the Canadian was given the opportunity to play in his hometown for the Montréal Canadiens . After he was only used sporadically at the beginning of the season - he played three games for Montréal in the NHL and two for their farm team from the American Hockey League , the Québec Citadelles - he officially announced the end of his career on December 8, 2000.
