history

The early years 2003 to 2012

In 2003, Christopher Czink and Dominik Wlazny founded The Gogets. In the following years Gregor Schmidt and Christoph Wiesinger completed the first appearances. In the course of the following years, the band toured through remote countries such as Malaysia , Singapore and other European countries. This was followed by festival appearances at the Novarock and Frequency Festival , an interview in Rolling Stone , as well as joint concerts with Flogging Molly , Donots , The Prodigy , Beatsteaks and many more. After EMI Japan released a cover version of ABBA's song Dancing Queen on one of their compilations, TV3 from Malaysia broadcast a report on The Gogets.

Gained Noise 2012 to date

Together with Flo V. Schwarz , the owner of Hamburg Records , they produced the debut album Gained Noise in the course of 2012 , which is also distributed in German-speaking countries via Hamburg Records. The title track was released in spring 2014 and was number 6 in the German Alternative Charts in the first week and number 3 the following week. The album and the second single, Better Safe Than Sorry , were released in the summer. The video clip for the single was filmed in Keszthely Castle in Hungary. The second single also made it to number 2 in the German alternative charts.

On the occasion of the album, Rock Hard calls the band “potent hit candidates”, Visions calls them “punchy, playful and thrilling”. After performing at national and international festivals, the band toured Russia and Italy in the same year and did their final annual tour with Marathonmann through Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

In 2014, The Gogets took part in the no-bang-for-Nazis sampler, which was distributed with a circulation of 30,000, alongside bands such as Die Toten Hosen , Die Ärzte and more.
