1995 NHL Awards
The 1995 NHL Awards are ice hockey honors and were presented in June 1995 .
Eric Lindros was recognized as the most valuable and best player and at the age of 22 was one of the youngest award winners in these categories. Ron Francis received three awards. In addition to the awards as the best defensive striker and fairest player, he also received the trophy for the best plus / minus statistics. Peter Forsberg , who should have a great career ahead of him, was named the best new professional. Québec's coach Marc Crawford set two records with the award for best coach. He was the youngest coach to ever receive the trophy and was the first to win it in his first year in the NHL .
Since the 1994/95 season could not start until January 1995 due to the lockout , the schedule was shortened to 48 games per team.
