2000 NHL Awards
The NHL Awards 2000 are ice hockey honors and were presented on June 15, 2000 in Toronto .
For the first time in the history of the NHL , Olaf Kölzig, a German, was named the best goalkeeper. Jaromír Jágr was voted best player for the second time in a row and Pawel Bure got the trophy as top scorer. The big winners were the St. Louis Blues with six trophies. Chris Pronger received the awards as MVP of the league, as best defender and the best plus / minus statistics, Joel Quenneville as the best coach, Pavol Demitra as the fairest player with a high sporting standard and Roman Turek as the goalkeeper with the fewest goals.
