NHL Awards 1996
The 1996 NHL Awards are ice hockey honors and were presented in June 1996 .
The Detroit Red Wings were the big winners at the NHL Awards. Sergei Fjodorow was named the best defensive striker and Scotty Bowman the best coach, Chris Osgood and Mike Vernon also received the award for the fewest goals conceded and Vladimir Konstantinov for the best plus / minus statistics. The 22-year-old Jim Carey of the Washington Capitals was honored as best goalkeeper and Mario Lemieux received the awards for best player and as wertvollster player of the 1995/96 season .
