2003 NHL Awards
The 2003 NHL Awards are ice hockey honors and were presented in Toronto in June 2003 .
Peter Forsberg was recognized as the most valuable player of the 2002/03 season and received the trophy for the best scorer and the best plus / minus statistics. Martin Brodeur received his first award for best goalkeeper and shared the William M. Jennings Trophy with the goalkeeper from Philadelphia. Markus Näslund was voted best player of the year by his league colleagues. Jere Lehtinen received the trophy for best defending striker for the third time , and Nicklas Lidström for the third time in a row the award for best defender.
