1998 NHL Awards
The 1998 NHL Awards are ice hockey honors and were presented in June 1998 .
Dominik Hašek made NHL history this season when he was the first goalkeeper to be recognized as the most valuable and best player in the league for the second time in a row. There was also the fourth award for best goalkeeper. For the second time Jaromír Jágr was honored as the best scorer and Ron Francis as the fairest player. Sergei Samsonow received the award as the best new professional of the past NHL season.
