NHL Supplemental Draft

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The NHL Supplemental Draft was introduced by the National Hockey League as an offshoot of the NHL Entry Draft and took place from 1986 to 1994.

The NHL teams were able to secure the rights to college players who were not eligible for participation in the NHL Entry Draft . Unlike the NHL Entry Draft, only a few players drawn in the NHL Supplemental Draft were able to prevail in the NHL. Only eleven players played more than 100 games in the NHL.

In addition to these eleven players, the following list also includes some players who have made it known in German-speaking countries.
