Eric Flinton (born February 2, 1972 in Williams Lake , British Columbia ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player .
Career
Flinton first played from 1991 at the University of New Hampshire before he was selected in the 1993 NHL Supplemental Draft in the first overall position by the Ottawa Senators . After he was drafted , he played two more years at the university before the left winger signed a contract with the Charlotte Checkers of the East Coast Hockey League before the 1995/96 season . For the following season he moved to the Binghamton Rangers , the then farm team of the New York Rangers .
After returning to the Checkers in the ECHL in the 1997/98 season, he went to Europe during the season and initially played for Manchester Storm in the British Ice Hockey Superleague . After another season in the BISL with the London Knights , he ended his ice hockey career. Flinton never played a game in the National Hockey League .
