Claude Gauthier (born September 12, 1947 in Montreal , Québec ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player .
Gauthier played on the position of the center and was selected in the 1964 NHL Amateur Draft in the first round in first position by the Detroit Red Wings . Previously, he had a junior team in Canada Rose Movement in the province of Quebec played. However, the Canadian never played a game in the National Hockey League . In the 1964/65 season he was with the Saint-Jérôme Alouettes in the Quebec Junior A Hockey League in use. After that he was also active for Sorel in the QJHL .
