Dave DePinto (born March 2, 1967 in Elk Grove Village , Illinois ) is a retired American ice hockey goalkeeper .

Career

DePinto played in the position of goalkeeper and was selected in the 1989 NHL Supplemental Draft at the first overall position by the Québec Nordiques . He had previously played in the 1984/85 and 1985/86 seasons in the United States Hockey League with the Dubuque Fighting Saints , before he had played for the university team of the University of Illinois-Chicago for three years from 1986 . After he was drafted, he played another year at the university. However, the American never played a game in the National Hockey League or one of the many North American minor leagues .
