Brian Konowalchuk (born October 14, 1971 in Salt Lake City , Utah ) is a retired American ice hockey player who played on the position of the center .

Career

During his career he played from 1989 to 1990 for the North Battleford North Stars in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and from 1990 to 1994 at the University of Denver in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association , a division in the game operations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association . In the 1992 NHL Supplemental Draft , he was selected in third overall position by the San Jose Sharks , but never played in the National Hockey League . In the 2006/07 season he was a coach in the Duluth Amateur Hockey Association .
