Leo P. Lamoureux Memorial Trophy
The Leo P. Lamoureux Memorial Trophy (until 1961 George H. Wilkinson Trophy ) was an ice hockey trophy of the International Hockey League (IHL), which lasted from 1945 to 2001. It was awarded annually to the player with the highest points in the regular season . The trophy was donated by Melvin T. Ross, then manager of the Indiana State Fairgrounds Coliseum , to commemorate Leo Lamoureux . The Indianapolis Chiefs coach had died during the 1960/61 season .
Previously, the George H. Wilkinson Trophy was awarded for the performance , which was named after a sponsor of the league.
