The Schluensee (spoken: Schlu-en-see, not Schlünsee) southeast of the town of Kossau in the municipality of Lebrade in the Plön district is a lake in Schleswig-Holstein . It is located in Holstein Switzerland and is surrounded by a hilly moraine landscape .

The Schluensee has a very irregular shape that runs from the southwest to the northeast. It has a maximum length of approx. 2 km and a maximum width of approx. 600 m, with a depth of approx. 45 m it is one of the deepest lakes in Schleswig-Holstein and has a size of approx. 127  hectares .

In the southwest of the lake there is a narrow island - in the northeast the Sophienwarder peninsula protrudes into it.

In the north the Görnitzer See drains into the Schluensee - which drains in the south towards the Behler See .
