Yanic Perreault (* 4. April 1971 in Sherbrooke , Quebec ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player , who between 1995 and 2008. among other things, for the Los Angeles Kings , Toronto Maple Leafs , Montreal Canadiens , Nashville Predators , Phoenix Coyotes and Chicago Blackhawks in the National Hockey League has played.
Career
Perreault, who plays on the center position, began his career with the Draveurs de Trois-Rivières in the Canadian junior league Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec , before becoming 47th in the first round of the Toronto Maple in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft Leafs was selected ( drafted ).
Perreault spent his first professional years in the AHL with the St. John's Maple Leafs , a farm team from Toronto at the time. His first NHL games for the Toronto Maple Leafs, he finally played in the 1993/94 season , after which he left Toronto for the Los Angeles Kings . But even in his first season with the Kings he was used more often with their farm team, the Phoenix Roadrunners , in the IHL than in the highest North American division.
The 1994/95 season , however, was to be Perreault's last season so far in a lower class league, from the following season he was part of the Kings' regular staff, which was also reflected in his return to Toronto during the 1998/99 season and his other NHL stations, the Montréal Canadiens and the Nashville Predators , did not change.
Before the 2006/07 season , the left shooter's contract with the Predators expired and only when the season was already running did he get a new contract with the Phoenix Coyotes , which he also represented in the 2007 NHL All-Star Game . On February 27, 2007, he returned to the Toronto Maple Leafs in a transfer deal.
After his contract in Toronto expired in the summer of 2007, he moved to the Chicago Blackhawks . Following the 2007/08 season, he ended his career.
