Tiptakzi

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

According to King List A, Tiptakzi was the eighth ruler of the Kassite dynasty of Babylon . The reading of the name is very uncertain; according to Brinkman's autopsy, only a character string from [x-ib-x] - [(x)] - [xx] is certain. Johannes Boese suggested reading the name as Šiptaʾulzi based on findings from Tell Mohammed . The name of his successor is completely illegible. Astour adopts Agum-kakrime , which, as Boese points out, is seductive, but ultimately not proven.

According to a tablet from Tell Mohammed, Šiptaʾulzi ruled in 36 after the rebuilding of Babylon after its destruction by the Hittites .
