The 1954/55 season was the 19th regular season of the American Hockey League (AHL). During the regular season, the six teams in the league played 64 games each. The four best teams in the AHL then played in a play-off round for the Calder Cup .

- The Syracuse Warriors returned to West Springfield , Massachusetts and played again under their original name, Springfield Indians

Calder Cup playoffs

The four best teams in the American Hockey League qualified for the play-offs. In the semifinals and finals, these played the Calder Cup winner. The semi-finals were held in best-of-five mode, while the final was held in best-of-seven mode.
