Robert Frank "Bob" Nevin (born March 18, 1938 in South Porcupine , Ontario ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player who, during his playing career between 1954 and 1977, among other things, 1212 games for the Toronto Maple Leafs , New York Rangers , Minnesota North Stars and Los Angeles Kings in the National Hockey League and 13 others for the Edmonton Oilers in the World Hockey Association on the position of right winger . Serving the Toronto Maple Leafs, Nevin won the Stanley Cup in 1962 and 1963 . He also held four times a NHL All-Star Game in part and was 1965-1971 the 13th captain of the franchise credit history of the New York Rangers. Canadian actress Brooke Nevin is his daughter.

Career

Nevin began his career in the North American Professional League National Hockey League in the 1957/58 season with the Toronto Maple Leafs . However, as in the following season , he hardly came to NHL missions and spent most of the seasons with the Toronto Marlboros in the Ontario Hockey Association . After he had spent the entire 1959/60 season in the American Hockey League with the Rochester Americans , he moved again to Toronto for the 1960/61 season . With the Leafs he won the Stanley Cup in 1962 and 1963 and he was also involved in winning the cup in the 1963/64 season , but was sold to the New York Rangers in an exchange before winning .

He stayed with the Rangers for seven more seasons, including six as team captain , before he was transferred to the Minnesota North Stars before the 1971/72 NHL season . After two seasons he moved to the Los Angeles Kings . After the 1975/76 season , he ended his NHL career and completed another season with the Edmonton Oilers in the World Hockey Association .
