After a season in the Central Hockey League with the Dallas Black Hawks , the Canadian tried his luck in Europe with HC Davos in the Swiss National League A at the beginning of the 1982/83 season . There the center attracted attention with its services and in early March 1983 he finally signed a contract with the Detroit Red Wings. Kisio stayed in Detroit until the summer of 1986 when he was given up in a large swap deal with the New York Rangers . In the Big Apple he had his best career in the 1987/88 season with 78 points.
