Jim Piggott Memorial Trophy
The Jim Piggott Memorial Trophy is a trophy of the Western Hockey League . It has been awarded annually to the best rookie in the league since 1967 . It is named after Jim Piggott , founder of the WHL franchise Saskatoon Blades . The winner has also been taking part in the CHL Rookie of the Year election since 1988 .
