Kyle Beach (born January 13, 1990 in Kelowna , British Columbia ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with DVTK Jegesmedvék from the Slovak Extra League since May 2019 . His brother Cody Beach is also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

Kyle Beach began his career as a hockey player with the Everett Silvertips , for which he was active from 2005 to 2009 in the Canadian Junior Western Hockey League . During this period, the winger was selected in the first round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft as the eleventh player of the Chicago Blackhawks . After he had finished the 2008/09 season at Everett's league rivals Lethbridge Hurricanes , he moved to the Spokane Chiefs in the summer of 2009 . For Chicago's farm team , the Rockford IceHogs from the American Hockey League , he played three games in the 2008/09 season and eight games in the 2009/10 season . In the course of the following season, Beach became a regular at the Rockford IceHogs.

On December 6, 2013, Beach was given to the New York Rangers in exchange for Brandon Mashinter . The Rangers also used him exclusively in the Hartford Wolf Pack in the AHL.

In August 2014 Beach received a trial contract with EC Red Bull Salzburg from the EBEL , which was later extended until the end of the season. After 9 games in the 2015/16 season with only one scorer point, the Canadian left the Red Bulls and briefly went to the Missouri Mavericks in the East Coast Hockey League , where he didn't score a single scorer point in 7 games. In December 2015 Beach returned to Austria and signed a contract with first division club Graz 99ers .

In March 2017 he was signed by league opponent EC VSV for two seasons, but due to a lack of sporting performance he was paid out after the first season 2017/18 and referred to the German second division club EC Bad Tölz , where he signed a contract for one year.
