The 2013/14 WHL season was the 48th season of the Western Hockey League . The regular season began on September 19, 2013 and ended on March 16, 2014. The Kelowna Rockets won the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy as the team with the highest points in the preliminary round . The playoffs began on 20 March 2014 and ended with the second Ed Chynoweth Cup a gain in the Edmonton Oil Kings on May 12, 2014 resulting in the new edition of the WHL final series of 2012/13 in seven games against Portland Winterhawks prevailed.
