TVH - Group Thermote & Vanhalst is a Belgian company that operates in the market for forklifts , aerial platforms , agricultural machinery and industrial vehicles. history
TVH is a family company founded in 1969 in Gullegem by Paul Thermote & Paul Vanhalst, both descended from a farmer's family . The company is now in the second generation.
Initially the company bought, repaired and sold agricultural machinery and former army forklifts. In the first few years, the purchase of used forklifts was mainly concentrated in Belgium and the neighboring countries. The European market has become too small for this and has therefore been expanded to include Japan . Used forklifts were bought, repaired and resold in Europe. This created a demand for spare parts for repairs, which later became the company's main activity, the sale of forklift spare parts.
The company grew from 96 employees in 1989 to more than 400 employees by the end of the 1990s and finally to 5000 employees by the beginning of 2017.

The company operates in more than 170 countries. In addition to its headquarters in Waregem , TVH also has a regional headquarters for North and South America in Olathe, Kansas (TVH Parts Co.). TVH is divided into two large areas, Parts & Accessories (spare parts and accessories) and Rental & Equipment (rental and attachments). Rental & Equipment has three departments, the Equipment Division (sales of new and used forklifts), the Rental Division (short and long-term rental of forklifts and work platforms) and the Service & Repair Division (service and repair). The Rental Division is active in European countries, for example: Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg. The Service & Repair Division is a service that TVH only offers in Belgium. The Parts & Accessories Division and the Equipment Division are present in the most important regions on all five continents, with their own branches and local warehouses. TVH also has a training center for driver training and technical training. TVH Parts has a database with more than 20,000,000 article numbers, of which more than 500,000 spare parts are in stock. TVH customers can obtain information on the availability of spare parts in the MyTotalSource webshop.
