Jaedon Descheneau (born February 22, 1995 in Leduc ) is a Canadian ice hockey striker (right winger) who has been under contract with Brynäs IF in the Svenska Hockeyligan since the 2019/20 season .
Career
Before his professional career, Descheneau played five seasons with the Kootenay Ice in the WHL , one of Canada's top three junior leagues. After this time, his professional career began in 2016/17 when he was on the ice for the Bakersfield Condors in the AHL and Norfolk Admirals in the ECHL . In the following season he moved to Europe in the second-class NLB for HC Thurgau in Switzerland , where he was able to achieve more than one scorer point per game in his 41 preliminary round and subsequent six playoff games ; he had a total of 22 goals and 37 assists. The striker, drafted by the St. Louis Blues , then played a playoff game for the NLA team HC Davos and remained pointless in this. The Düsseldorf traditional club Düsseldorf EC undertook Descheneau then for a year. On January 6, 2019, he scored his first hat-trick in the DEL when his team won 6-3 away at the Augsburg Panthers . Descheneau finally finished the main round with 51 points (19 goals) as DEG's second-best scorer behind Philip Gogulla and was ninth in the league. In the subsequent playoffs, his team was eliminated in the quarterfinals after seven games in the best-of-seven series against the Augsburg Panthers. Descheneau contributed 13 points (5 goals) in seven games. Then Descheneau left the DEG and joined the Swedish first division club Brynäs IF . At Brynäs, he scored 18 points scorer in the 2019/20 season, including 8 goals and 10 assists, in 46 games, his contract runs until 2021.
