Brad Hornung Trophy
The Brad Hornung Trophy is a trophy of the Western Hockey League . The award has been given annually since the end of the 1966/67 season to the fairest athletic player in the WHL. The winner has also participated in the election for CHL Sportsman of the Year since 1990 .
The trophy is named after Brad Hornung , a Regina Pats player who has been paralyzed since a league game on March 1, 1987. Therefore, the trophy has only had its name since 1987.
