The 2004/05 WHL season was the 39th season of the Western Hockey League . The play-offs started on March 23, 2005 and ended with the second President's Cup win by the Kelowna Rockets on May 13, 2005, who prevailed against the Brandon Wheat Kings in the WHL final .
