Career
Jeff Glass began his career in 2002 with Kootenay Ice in the Western Hockey League . In the 2004 NHL Entry Draft , the Ottawa Senators selected him in the third round in 89th place. After the 2004/05 season he was awarded the Del Wilson Trophy as the best goalkeeper in the league and as the CHL Goaltender of the Year .
For the 2005/06 season he moved to the Binghamton Senators in the American Hockey League , where he played until 2009. In the 2005/06 season , the Canadian also played a number of ECHL games in the Charlotte Checkers jersey . From September 2009 Glass was under contract with the Kazakh club Barys Astana from the Continental Hockey League before he was signed by HK Sibir Novosibirsk in August 2012 . At Sibir he was one of the KHL's statistically best goalkeepers both during the main round and during the play-offs, so that after the end of the 2012/13 season he moved to the ambitious HK Spartak Moscow . After Spartak had no chance of reaching the play-offs in January 2014, Glass was given to HK CSKA Moscow .
From July 2014, Glass was under contract with HK Lada Tolyatti , for whom he played 14 KHL games as the second goalkeeper behind Ilya Jeschow , before moving to HK Dinamo Minsk in May 2015 . He played there until summer 2016, in the meantime he took part in the 2015 Spengler Cup with Team Canada . After Minsk did not renew the Canadian's contract, he initially received a trial contract with the Toronto Marlies from the AHL until January 2017 . After its dissolution, he was signed by the Chicago Blackhawks in February until the summer of 2018. There he is used in the Rockford IceHogs farm team in the AHL, but made his NHL debut in December 2017 in the jersey of the Blackhawks. After the 2017/18 season, his expiring contract in Chicago was not renewed, so he returned to the Toronto Marlies in October 2018 and signed a one-year contract there. After ten appearances for the Marlies, the goalkeeper was transferred to league rivals San Diego Gulls in December 2018 , for whom he played until the end of the 2018/19 season.
