The Spengler Cup 2015 ( French Coupe Spengler 2015 ) was the 89th edition of the competition of the same name and took place from December 26th to 31st, 2015 in the Swiss climatic health resort of Davos . The local Vaillant Arena acted as the venue . A total of 69,300 spectators attended the eleven tournament games, which were all sold out.

It was won by Team Canada , which won the tournament with a 4: 3 victory in the final over HC Lugano . For Team Canada it was the 13th title win at the Spengler Cup since 1984 and the first since 2012 .

The Swede Linus Klasen in the service of the finalist HC Lugano was the most successful player in the tournament with seven points , including four goals.

mode

The six participating teams initially played in two preliminary round groups - named after the Davos ice hockey legends Richard Torriani and the Cattini brothers Ferdinand and Hans - three teams each in a single round in the " everyone against everyone " mode , so that each team initially played two games Placements based on points. The two group winners qualified directly for the semifinals, while the second and third placed in a knockout duel played off the other two semifinals.
