Hans Cattini
Hans Cattini (born January 24, 1914 in Grono ; † April 3, 1987 in Lausanne ) was a Swiss ice hockey player . His brother Ferdinand Cattini was also a Swiss national player.
Career
Hans Cattini took part in the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and 1948 in St. Moritz for the Swiss national team. With his team he won the bronze medal at the 1948 Winter Games. At the World Championships in 1937 and 1939 he and his team won the bronze medal and the silver medal at the 1935 World Championships . As the best European team, Switzerland also became European champions at the 1935 World Cup.
At club level, Cattini played for HC Davos . There, together with his brother Ferdinand Cattini and Richard Torriani, he formed the so-called “ni” storm, which was extremely successful for more than ten years. In 1998 he was honored with induction into the IIHF Hall of Fame . One of the two preliminary round groups of the Spengler Cup has been named after him and his brother Ferdinand since 2010 .
