history

One of the oldest houses is the five-story Torre Fiorenzana , which was very likely built before 1200. In 1219 de Grono with its church San Clemente was first mentioned, in 1395 the place was called de Agrono . Grono first belonged to the Vicariate and Squadra Roveredo, it also depended on the chapter of San Vittore and only became an independent parish in 1521. The Torre Fiorenzana belonged to the de Sacco family and was the scene of the murder of Alberto de Sacco in 1406. The Palazzo Togni or Ca 'Rossa, the red house, was built in 1721 and restored in 1977. Until 2004 it was the seat of the Moesana section of the Pro Grigioni Italiano and is now owned by the Museo moesano, the regional museum of the Misox.
