The Spengler Cup 2007 ( French Coupe Spengler 2007 ) was the 81st edition of the competition of the same name and took place from December 26th to 31st, 2007 in the Swiss climatic health resort of Davos . The local Vaillant Arena acted as the venue . A total of 75,671 spectators attended the eleven tournament games, which corresponds to an average of 6,879 per game.

It was won by Team Canada , which won the tournament with a 2-1 victory in the final over Salawat Yulayev Ufa . The Canadians had already won the match 3-2 in the qualification. For Team Canada, after losing two finals in previous years, it was the first win since 2003 and the eleventh title win since 1984 .

The Russian Alexander Pereschogin in the service of Salawat Yulayev Ufa was the most successful player in the tournament with six points , including three goals.

mode

The five participating teams initially played in a single round in the " everyone against everyone " mode , so that each team played four games. The two teams with the best points after completing the ten qualifying games finally determined the tournament winner in an additional game.
