Kirill Anatoljewitsch Kolzow ( Russian Кирилл Анатольевич Кольцов ; born February 1, 1983 in Tscheljabinsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who last played for Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg in the Continental Hockey League .
Career
Kolzow began his career at HK Awangard Omsk , for which he played until 2003. In the 2002 NHL Entry Draft , he was selected in the second round in a total of 49th place by the Vancouver Canucks . In 2003 he moved to their farm team , the Manitoba Moose , in the American Hockey League , where he was the top defender of his team in his debut season. After the 2004/05 season , the left shooter went back to his home club and played there until 2007 in the super league . He then switched to Salawat Julajew Ufa , for whom he played until 2011 and won the Russian championship in 2008 and 2011 .
In July 2011 Kolzow was signed by SKA Saint Petersburg , but returned to Salawat after a year. In the following years he was regularly one of the defenders of the KHL with the best goals and points and was therefore nominated several times for the KHL All-Star Game .
In December 2015 he moved to Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod within the KHL, and then to HK Traktor Chelyabinsk in May 2016 .
Between December 2017 and May 2018 he played for HK Spartak Moscow in the Continental Hockey League.
