The Spengler Cup 1984 ( French Coupe Spengler 1984 ) was the 58th edition of the competition of the same name and took place from December 26th to 30th, 1984 in the Swiss climatic health resort of Davos . The ice rink there served as the venue .

It won the first time participating Team Canada , which won three of its four games, before the ASD Dukla Jihlava . In the years that followed, the Canadian Ice Hockey Federation's team, made up of Canadian legionaries and college players, became a permanent fixture of the Cup. The Czechoslovak Petr Rosol was the most successful player in the tournament with nine points , including four goals.

mode

The five participating teams played in a single round in the " everyone against everyone " mode , so that each team played four games. The team with the highest points won the tournament.
