Svein Erik Vold

Svein Erik Vold (born October 31, 1985 in Stjørdalshalsen ) is a former Norwegian track and road cyclist .

Career

Svein Erik Vold was Norwegian junior track cycling champion in the 1000 m time trial and in the single pursuit in 2002. In the next year he was able to defend both titles. In 2004 he became national champion of the elite class in the same disciplines. He won this title again in 2006 and in the following two years he defended the title in the 1000 m time trial.

On the road it was 2002 and 2003 Norwegian champion in the criterion of the junior class and in the junior class, he won the team time trial. Svein Erik Vold has been driving for the Continental Team Joker-Bianchi since 2005 . In his first year there he won a stage at the Grenland Grand Prix and at the Eidsvollrittet. In the 2008 season he was successful in the third section of the Trønderfestivalen.

At the end of July 2012, he ended his career as a racing cyclist and became sporting director of the Joker Merida team.
