Stjørdalshalsen is a town and the administrative seat of the municipality of Stjørdal in the Trøndelag province in Norway .

Stjørdalshalsen is located directly at the confluence of Stjørdalselva and Gråelva in the Trondheimfjord and has an area of 6.05 km² . As of January 1, 2014, 11,453 inhabitants lived there.
history
Stjørdalshalsen was founded as Halsen and received town charter on June 1, 1997.

Next to the intersection of European route 6 and European route 14 is Stjørdalshalsen on the Nordlandsbanen and the Trondheim – Storlien ( Meråkerbanen ) railway . Trondheim Airport is just a few kilometers south of the city .
economy
Stjørdalshalsen is an important industrial and service center. In addition to the mechanical engineering industry, glass wool , plastic goods and food are also produced here. There is also a production site for mineral water in Stjørdalshalsen.
