Brian Hills (born August 17, 1959 in Windsor , Ontario ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player and coach . During his career he was among others at EC Kassel in the 2nd Bundesliga .

Career

Hills began his career with the Windsor Royals , for which he played in the 1978/79 season in the OHA-B. From 1979 to 1983 he was on the ice hockey team at Bowling Green State University in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . The 1982/83 season, his last on the university team , played Hills as team captain . In 1982 and 1983, Hills was one of the ten finalists for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award for Best Male College Ice Hockey Player in the United States.

After Germany , he moved in 1991 to EC Kassel in the 2. Bundesliga , having previously been extremely successful eight years in Switzerland - mainly in the National League B had played -. With Kassel he won the second division runner-up in 1994 and thus qualified for the German ice hockey league . For three years Hills scored an average of almost three points per game and is one of the most successful goalscorers in the all-time goalscorer list of EC Kassel. Due to the regulation on EU foreigners, Hills left the ice hockey club before the start of the DEL due to his age.

From 1994/95 to 2000/01 he worked as an assistant trainer for "Bowling Green" again, until he was head trainer for the University of Geneseo in New York from 2000/01 to 2004/05 and with his team won the SUNYAC trophy.

Prior to the 2005/06 season, he joined the Rochester Institute of Technology as an assistant coach .
