The Spengler Cup 1995 ( French Coupe Spengler 1995 ) was the 69th edition of the competition of the same name and took place from December 26th to 31st, 1995 in the Swiss climatic health resort of Davos . The ice rink there served as the venue .

It was won by Team Canada , which won the tournament with a 3-0 victory in the final over the HK Lada Tolyatti . In the qualification, the Russians had just won the game 4: 3. For the Canadians it was the fifth tournament success after 1984 , 1986 , 1987 and 1992 . The Canadian Gilles Thibaudeau was the most successful player in the tournament with six points , including five goals.

mode

The five participating teams initially played in a single round in the " everyone against everyone " mode , so that each team played four games. The two teams with the best points after completing the ten qualifying games finally determined the tournament winner in an additional game.
