Miroslav Blaťák (born May 25, 1982 in Zlín , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech ice hockey player who was last under contract with Severstal Tscherepowez in the Continental Hockey League until November 2015 .

Career

Miroslav Blaťák began his career as an ice hockey player at HC Zlín , for which he was active in the Extraliga from 1999 to 2006 . During this time he reached third place in the playoffs with his team in 2002 and was runner-up in 2005 and Czech champions for the first time in his career in 2004 . In addition, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2001 in the fourth round as a total of 129th player by the Detroit Red Wings , for which he however never played. After he was on the ice for Mora IK from the Swedish Elitserien in the 2006/07 season , the Czech received a contract with Salawat Julajew Ufa in summer 2007 , with whom he became Russian champion in 2008 .

In the following years he played non-stop for Ufa before he was signed by HK Awangard Omsk in May 2013 . He won the Nadezhda Cup with Omsk in 2014 before he was signed by Severstal Tscherepowez for the 2015/16 season .

International

For the Czech Republic , Blaťák took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2000 and the U20 World Junior Championship in 2002 .
